Pacific Federal Acquired by Zenith American

Pacific Federal, LLC (PacFed) will operate as a subsidiary of Zenith American (Zenith), headquartered in Tampa, Fl.  James Garrison will continue as PacFed president, and the company will operate at its current location in Glendale, CA.  This is Zenith’s first acquisition in the Los Angeles area.  With 44 offices across the country, Zenith manages benefit plans for Taft-Hartley trust funds, trade associations, government entities and corporate employers.

Jim Garrison, President of Pacific Federal, LLC, serves on the executive board and the board of directors for the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and as co-chair of its Health Care Council. He is also a member of the board of directors for the L.A. Jobs PAC, Music Fund of Los Angeles, Valley Industry and Commerce Association PAC, and serves on the advisory board for Loyola Marymount University’s Center for the Study of Los Angeles. In 2016, he was named one of the 200 most influential business leaders by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal.

Veronica Romero, Vice President of PacFed Benefit Administrators Client Services, serves on the Board of Directors of the Verdugo Workforce Investment Board.

45th Anniversary Gala

Jim Garrison, president of PacFed, will be among those recognized as an advocate for increasing health care access to communities in need at the Northeast Valley Health Corporation’s upcoming 45th anniversary gala!

Celebrating 45 years of providing quality healthcare, Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC) will honor PacFed President James Garrison, U.S. Representative Tony Cárdenas and Health Net Vice President of Public Affairs Carol Kim as “Champions for Quality Health Care” at its annual gala on September 20 in Los Angeles. They will be saluted for advocating improved access to quality, affordable health care for individuals and families in underserved communities.

NEVHC will also recognize “Community Hospital Champions” Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center and Valley Presbyterian Hospital for their support in strengthening the health safety net for vulnerable populations in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys.

With 15 licensed health centers, NEVHC is one of the nation’s largest community health centers. Its mission is to provide quality, safe and comprehensive primary health care to medically underserved residents of Los Angeles County in a manner that is sensitive to the economic, cultural and linguistic needs of the community.
